The Ant (Al-Naml)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Ta, Seen. These are the verses of the Qur'an and a clear Book 1 A guidance and good tidings for believers 2 who establish their prayers, and pay the obligatory charity, and are certain of the Everlasting Life. 3 Indeed, for those who do not believe in the Hereafter, We have made pleasing to them their deeds, so they wander blindly. 4 Those are the ones for whom there will be the worst of punishment, and in the Hereafter they are the greatest losers. 5 You have been conveyed the Qur'an from One all-wise and all-knowing. 6 [Mention] when Moses said to his family, "Indeed, I have perceived a fire. I will bring you from there information or will bring you a burning torch that you may warm yourselves." 7 Then when he came unto it, he was cried unto: Thus; Blest is whosoever is in the fire and whosoever is around it; and hallowed be Allah, the Lord of the Worlds. 8 O Moses, verily this is Me, Allah, the All-Mighty, the All-Wise! 9 Now cast your rod!" But when he saw the rod writhing as though it were a serpent, he turned his back in retreat and did not even look behind. "O Moses, have no fear. Messengers have no fear in My presence, 10 and neither need anyone who has done wrong and then has replaced the wrong with good: for, verily, I am much-forgiving, a dispenser of grace! 11 Put your hand inside your collar and it will come out luminous without evil? among the nine signs to Pharaoh and his nation, indeed they were an impious nation' 12 But when Our signs came to them visibly, they said, 'This is a manifest sorcery'; 13 They rejected the evidence because of their arrogance and injustice, although their souls knew it to be true. Think how terrible the end of the sinful ones was! 14
