And those who disbelieve say, "When we have become dust as well as our forefathers, will we indeed be brought out [of the graves]? 67 It was promised to us and to our fathers before us. It is only ancient legends." 68 Say: 'Journey in the land and see what was the end of the sinners' 69 Do not sorrow for them, nor be thou straitened for what they devise. 70 And [when] they ask, "When is this promise [of resurrection] to be fulfilled? [Answer this, O you who believe in it,] if you are men of truth!" 71 Say: "Perhaps some of what you wish to hasten is right behind you." 72 Your Lord has many favors for mankind but most of them are ungrateful. 73 And indeed your Lord knows what is hidden in their bosoms, and what they disclose. 74 And not a thing is there hidden in heaven and earth but it is in a Manifest Book. 75 BEHOLD, this Qur'an explains to the children of Israel most [of that] whereon they hold divergent views; 76 and, verily, it is a guidance and a grace unto all who believe [in it]. 77 Verily thy Lord will decide between them by His Decree: and He is Exalted in Might, All-Knowing. 78 Therefore put your trust in Allah, for you are upon a clear truth. 79 Truly thou canst not cause the dead to listen, nor canst thou cause the deaf to hear the call, (especially) when they turn back in retreat. 80 Nor can you lead the blind out of their error, you can only make to hear those who believe in Our Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.), and who have submitted (themselves to Allah in Islam as Muslims). 81 ۞ And when the Word (promise) appears upon them, We shall bring forth for them a beast from the earth to speak to them – because the people were not accepting faith in Our signs. (This beast will rise from the earth, when the Last Day draws near.) 82
