Those who deny the truth say, "When we have turned to dust like our fathers, shall we be brought back to life again? 67 "It is true we were promised this,- we and our fathers before (us): these are nothing but tales of the ancients." 68 Say: "Go ye through the earth and see what has been the end of those guilty (of sin)." 69 And grieve thou not for them, nor be in distress because of what they plot (against thee). 70 And they say: when will this Promise be fufilled if ye say sooth? 71 Say: "Perhaps that which you wish to hasten on, may be close behind you. 72 Indeed your Lord is Most Munificent upon mankind, but most men do not give thanks. 73 And verily, your Lord knows what their breasts conceal and what they reveal. 74 And there is nothing hidden in the heaven or the earth but it is in a clear Record. 75 Surely this Qur'an explains to the Children of Israel most of the matters concerning which they have disagreements 76 It is a guide and mercy for the believers. 77 Verily thy Lord will decide between them by His Decree: and He is Exalted in Might, All-Knowing. 78 Wherefore put thy trust in Allah; verily thou art on manifest truth. 79 Verily, you cannot make the dead to hear (i.e. benefit them and similarly the disbelievers), nor can you make the deaf to hear the call, when they flee, turning their backs. 80 just as thou canst not lead the blind [of heart] out of their error; none canst thou make hear save such as [are willing to] believe in Our messages, and thus surrender themselves unto Us. 81 ۞ When God's word is justly carried out against them, We will produce a dabbah from the earth which will tell them that mankind had no real faith in Our signs. 82
