Al-Naml 6 of 7
The unbelievers say, 'What, when we are dust, and our fathers, shall we indeed be brought forth? 67 "It is true we were promised this,- we and our fathers before (us): these are nothing but tales of the ancients." 68 Say: "Go all over the earth and behold what happened in the end to those [who were thus] lost in sin!" 69 But do not grieve over them, and neither be distressed by the false arguments which they devise [against Gods messages]. 70 And they say: When will this threat come to pass, if you are truthful? 71 Say: 'It may be that riding behind you already is some part of that you seek to hasten on. 72 And verily thine Lord is full of grace for mankind, but most of them give not thanks. 73 And most surely your Lord knows what their breasts conceal and what they manifest. 74 There is nothing of the hidden in the heavens and the earth that is not recorded in the luminous Book. 75 Verily this Qur'an doth explain to the Children of Israel most of the matters in which they disagree. 76 And indeed, it is guidance and mercy for the believers. 77 And verily thine Lord shall decide between them with His judgment, and He is the Mighty, the Knowing. 78 So put your trust in Allah for you are on the manifest truth. 79 You cannot make the dead listen and the deaf are unable to hear calls. Thus, they turn back on their heels. 80 Nor can you lead the blind when they have gone astray. You can make none hear except those who believe in Our signs and have come to peace and submission. 81 ۞ And when the word befalls them, We will bring forth for them a creature from the earth speaking to them, [saying] that the people were, of Our verses, not certain [in faith]. 82

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
