Those who deny the truth say, "When we have turned to dust like our fathers, shall we be brought back to life again? 67 Indeed we and our fathers had been promised this before. It is nothing but the earlier people's lore." 68 Say: "Travel in the land and see how (bad) was the end of sinners." 69 (O Prophet), do not grieve over them, nor be distressed at their designs. 70 And they ask: 'When will this promise come, if what you say is true' 71 Say, "It may be that a part of what you would hasten on is close behind you." 72 Indeed your Lord is Most Munificent upon mankind, but most men do not give thanks. 73 Your Lord certainly knows whatever their hearts conceal or reveal. 74 And there is nothing hidden in the heaven or the earth but it is in a clear Record. 75 Indeed this Qur’an narrates to the Descendants of Israel most of the matters in which they differ. 76 and it is a guidance and mercy for the believers. 77 Indeed your Lord will decide between them by His judgement. He is All-Mighty, All-Knowing. 78 Hence, place thy trust in God [alone] - for, behold, that in which thou believest is truth self-evident. 79 [But,] verily, thou canst not make the dead hear: and [so, too,] thou canst not make the deaf [of heart] hear this call when they turn their backs [on thee] and go away, 80 just as thou canst not lead the blind [of heart] out of their error; none canst thou make hear save such as [are willing to] believe in Our messages, and thus surrender themselves unto Us. 81 ۞ When the Word falls on them, We shall bring forth for them out of the earth a beast that shall speak unto them: 'Mankind had no faith in Our signs.' 82
