The unbelievers say: 'When we and our fathers are turned to dust, shall we be brought forth? 67 “Indeed this promise was given to us, and before us to our forefathers – this is nothing but stories of former people.” 68 Say: "Travel in the land and see how (bad) was the end of sinners." 69 And grieve you not for them, nor be straitened (in distress) because of what they plot. 70 And they say: When (will) this promise (be fulfilled), if ye are truthful? 71 Say, "It may be that a part of what you would hasten on is close behind you." 72 Indeed your Lord is Most Munificent upon mankind, but most men do not give thanks. 73 The Lord knows full well what they conceal in their hearts and what they disclose: 74 And there is nothing hidden in the heaven and the earth, but is in a Clear Book (i.e. Al-Lauh Al-Mahfuz). 75 This Quran explains to the children of Israel much of what they differ over, 76 And indeed, it is guidance and mercy for the believers. 77 Surely thy Lord will decide between them by His Judgment; He is the All-mighty, the All-knowing. 78 So put thy trust in Allah: for thou art on (the path of) manifest Truth. 79 Thou shalt not make the dead to hear, neither shalt thou make the deaf to hear the call when they turn about, retreating. 80 And you will not guide the blind out of their error; and none listen to you except those who accept faith in Our signs, and they are Muslims. 81 ۞ Now, [as for the deaf and blind of heart -] when the word [of truth] stands revealed against them, We shall bring forth unto them out of the earth a creature, which will tell them that mankind had no real faith in Our messages. 82
