And those who disbelieve say: "When we have become dust, we and our fathers, shall we really be brought forth (again)? 67 We were told about this and so were our forefathers before us. But these are no more than fairy tales that have been recounted from ancient times." 68 Say: "Go all over the earth and behold what happened in the end to those [who were thus] lost in sin!" 69 And grieve you not for them, nor be straitened (in distress) because of what they plot. 70 And they say: When (will) this promise (be fulfilled), if ye are truthful? 71 Say, "Perhaps some of the things which you wish to experience immediately are very close to you." 72 And verily thine Lord is full of grace for mankind, but most of them give not thanks. 73 Surely, your Lord knows what they hide in their hearts and what they reveal. 74 And naught there is hidden in the heaven or the earth but it is in a Manifest Book. 75 Surely, this Koran relates to the Children of Israel most of that which they are at variance. 76 It is a guide and mercy for the believers. 77 Your Lord will judge among them according to His own decree. He is Majestic and All-Knowing. 78 So rely upon Allah; indeed, you are upon the clear truth. 79 Indeed the dead* do not listen to your call nor do the deaf* listen to your call, when they flee turning back. (The dead and deaf implies the disbelievers.) 80 just as thou canst not lead the blind [of heart] out of their error; none canst thou make hear save such as [are willing to] believe in Our messages, and thus surrender themselves unto Us. 81 ۞ When the word about them comes true We shall make a creature appear to them on earth who will tell them that people had no faith in Our revelations. 82
