We sent Noah to his people, and he lived with them a thousand years minus fifty. Then they were caught by the deluge for they were evil. 14 But We saved him and those who were with him in the Ark and made the event a sign for mankind. 15 And (We sent) Ibrahim, when he said to his people: Serve Allah and be careful of (your duty to) Him; this is best for you, if you did but know: 16 You only worship idols besides Allah and you create a lie surely they whom you serve besides Allah do not control for you any sustenance, therefore seek the sustenance from Allah and serve Him and be grateful to Him; to Him you shall be brought back. 17 But if ye deny, then nations have denied before you. The messenger is only to convey (the message) plainly. 18 Do they not see how God originates creation, then reproduces it? That surely is easy for God. 19 Say thou: go about in the land and behold what wise He hath originated creation; and then Allah shall produce another production; verily Allah is over everything Potent. 20 He punishes whomever He wills and has mercy upon whomever He wills; and towards Him only you are to return. 21 "Not on earth nor in heaven will ye be able (fleeing) to frustrate (his Plan), nor have ye, besides Allah, any protector or helper." 22
