Corruption has appeared in the land and the sea on account of what the hands of men have wrought, that He may make them taste a part of that which they have done, so that they may return. 41 Say: Travel in the land, then see how was the end of those before; most of them were polytheists. 42 So set thy face toward the right religion before the Day cometh from which there is no averting, from Allah, on that Day they shall be sundered. 43 Those who rejected the truth will bear the burden of that rejection, and those who did good deeds will have made good provision for themselves. 44 so that He might reward, out of His bounty, those who have attained to faith and done righteous deeds. Verily, He does not love those who refuse to acknowledge the truth 45 Among His signs is this: He sends out the winds bearing good news so that He may make you taste His mercy, and ships sail at His command, so that you may seek His bounty, and be grateful. 46 And assuredly We sent apostles before thee unto their people. They brought them manifest signs. Then We took vengeance upon those who transgressed. And incumbent upon us was avengement of the believers. 47 God is He that looses the winds, that stir up clouds; and He spreads them in heaven how He will, and shatters them; then thou seest the rain issuing out of the midst of them, and when He smites with it whomsoever of His servants He will, lo, they rejoice, 48 although before it was sent down on them before that they had been in despair. 49 So behold the marks of God's mercy, how He quickens the earth after it was dead; surely He is the quickener of the dead, and He is powerful over everything. 50 And if We send a wind, and they should see their tilth yellow, then they would thereafter remain disbelieving. 51 You [Prophet] cannot make the dead hear and you cannot make the deaf hear your call when they turn their backs and leave; 52 Nor canst thou lead back the blind from their straying: only those wilt thou make to hear, who believe in Our signs and submit (their wills in Islam). 53
