Corruption has spread over land and sea from what men have done themselves that they may taste a little of what they have done: They may haply come back (to the right path). 41 Say (O Muhammad, to the disbelievers): Travel in the land, and see the nature of the consequence for those who were before you! Most of them were idolaters. 42 So set you (O Muhammad SAW) your face to (the obedience of Allah, your Lord) the straight and right religion (Islamic Monotheism), before there comes from Allah a Day which none can avert it. On that Day men shall be divided [(in two groups), a group in Paradise and a group in Hell]. 43 Those who reject Faith will suffer from that rejection: and those who work righteousness will spread their couch (of repose) for themselves (in heaven): 44 So that He shall recompense those who believe and work righteous works out of His grace; verily He loveth not the infidels. 45 And of His signs is that He sendeth winds heralding rain and that He may make you taste of His mercy, and that the ships may sail at His command and that ye may seek His grace, and that haply ye may return thanks. 46 (Muhammad), We had sent before you Our Messengers to their people. The Messengers showed them clear miracles and We took revenge on the criminals. It was necessary for Us to help the believers. 47 Allah is He Who sendeth the winds so that they raise clouds, and spreadeth them along the sky as pleaseth Him, and causeth them to break and thou seest the rain downpouring from within them. And when He maketh it to fall on whom He will of His bondmen, lo! they rejoice; 48 And verily before that (rain), just before it was sent down upon them, they were in despair! 49 Look then at the marks of Mercy of Allah; how He revives the earth after its death. He is the Reviver of the dead. He has power over all things. 50 Even if We had sent the wind and caused (the plants) to turn yellow and to fade away, they would still have remained in disbelief. 51 You cannot make the dead to listen nor the deaf hear the call when they have turned back and retreated, 52 And you (O Muhammad SAW) cannot guide the blind from their straying; you can make to hear only those who believe in Our Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.), and have submitted to Allah in Islam (as Muslims). 53
