Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
Alif Lam Mim. 1 These are the verses of the Book of wisdom. 2 A Guide and a Mercy to the Doers of Good,- 3 people who are steadfast in prayer, pay the religious tax, and have firm belief in the life to come. 4 These are on a guidance from their Lord, and these are they who are successful: 5 But among men there are some who spend their time in idle diversions only to lead people astray from the path of God, and without knowledge, hold it up to ridicule: for such there is a humiliating punishment in store. 6 And when Our revelations are recited unto him he turneth away in pride as if he heard them not, as if there were a deafness in his ears. So give him tidings of a painful doom. 7 Surely those who believe, and do deeds of righteousness, there awaits them Gardens of Bliss 8 where they shall live for ever. The promise of Allah is the truth; He is the Almighty, the Wise. 9 He hath created the heavens without supports that ye can see, and hath cast into the earth firm hills, so that it quake not with you; and He hath dispersed therein all kinds of beasts. And We send down water from the sky and We cause (plants) of every goodly kind to grow therein. 10 Such is God's creation. Show me now what those (they worship) beside Him have created. Surely the evil-doers are in clear error. 11
