Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
A. L. M. 1 These are revelations of the wise Scripture, 2 a guidance and mercy for the doers of good, 3 who establish Prayer and pay Zakah, and have firm faith in the Hereafter. 4 Such are on guidance from their Lord, and such are the successful. 5 But there are, among men, those who purchase idle tales, without knowledge (or meaning), to mislead (men) from the Path of Allah and throw ridicule (on the Path): for such there will be a Humiliating Penalty. 6 When Our revelations are recited to them, they turn back on their heels out of pride as if they did not hear them or their ears had been sealed off. Warn them of the painful torment. 7 The righteously striving believers will enter Paradise 8 Wherein they will abide. It is a promise of Allah in truth. He is the Mighty, the Wise. 9 He has created the heavens without pillar as you can see, fixed the mountains on earth so that it may not shake you away, and settled therein all types of living creatures. We have sent down water from the sky and made all kinds of plants grow in gracious pairs. 10 Such is the creation of Allah; now show me what, other than Him, created! No, the harmdoers are in clear error. 11
