Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
Alif Lam Mim. 1 These are revelations of the wise Scripture, 2 A Guide and a Mercy to the Doers of Good,- 3 Those who establish worship and pay the poor-due and have sure faith in the Hereafter. 4 Those are on [right] guidance from their Lord, and it is those who are the successful. 5 But among men there is many a one that prefers a mere play with words [to divine guidance,] so as to lead [those] without knowledge astray from the path of God, and to turn it to ridicule: for such there is shameful suffering in store. 6 When Our revelations are recited to them, they turn back on their heels out of pride as if they did not hear them or their ears had been sealed off. Warn them of the painful torment. 7 Verily, those who believe (in Islamic Monotheism) and do righteous good deeds, for them are Gardens of delight (Paradise). 8 Wherein they will abide. It is a promise of Allah in truth. He is the Mighty, the Wise. 9 He created the heavens without any pillars that ye can see; He set on the earth mountains standing firm, lest it should shake with you; and He scattered through it beasts of all kinds. We send down rain from the sky, and produce on the earth every kind of noble creature, in pairs. 10 This is the creation of Allah. So show Me what those other than Him have created. Rather, the wrongdoers are in clear error. 11
