Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Alif-Lam-Mim. 1 These are the verses of the Wise Book, 2 a guidance and mercy for the doers of good, 3 Those who establish worship and pay the poor-due and have sure faith in the Hereafter. 4 They follow the guidance of their Lord and they will have everlasting happiness. 5 And of the people is he who buys the amusement of speech to mislead [others] from the way of Allah without knowledge and who takes it in ridicule. Those will have a humiliating punishment. 6 When Our verses are recited to him, he turns his back in pride, as though he never heard them, and in his ears was heaviness. Give glad tidings to him of a painful punishment! 7 Surely those who believe, and do deeds of righteousness, there awaits them Gardens of Bliss 8 Abiding in them; the promise of Allah; (a) true (promise), and He is the Mighty, the Wise. 9 He has created the skies without any support that you could see, and has placed firm mountains upon the earth, lest it sway with you, and has caused all manner of living creatures to multiply thereon. And We sent down water from the skies, and thus We made every kind of excellent plant grow there: 10 This is God's creation; now show me what those have created that are apart from Him! Nay, but the evildoers are in manifest error. 11
