In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Alif. Lam. Mim. 1 These are verses of the Book of Wisdom 2 a guidance and mercy for the doers of good, 3 Who establish prayer and give zakah, and they, of the Hereafter, are certain [in faith]. 4 It is they who follow the guidance [that comes to them] from their Sustainer; and it is they, they who shall attain to a happy state! 5 And some people buy words of play, in order to mislead from Allah’s path, without knowledge; and to make it an article of mockery; for them is a disgraceful punishment. 6 And when Our revelations are recited unto him he turneth away in his stiff-neckedness as though he heard them not: as though there was a deafness in his ears. So announce thou unto him a torment afflictive. 7 For those who believe and work righteous deeds, there will be Gardens of Bliss,- 8 They will abide in them for ever. The promise of God is true; and He is all-mighty and all-wise. 9 He created the skies without a support, as you can see, and placed stabilisers in the earth that you may dwell at ease as it revolves; and dispersed on it all varieties of creatures, and He sent down water from the skies and grew all kinds of splendid things upon it. 10 Such is Allah's creation. Show me, then, what any others, apart from Allah, have created. Nay, the fact is that the wrong-doers are in manifest error. 11
