Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Alif Lam Mim. 1 These are revelations of the wise Scripture, 2 A guide and a mercy for the Muhsinun (good-doers) 3 people who are steadfast in prayer, pay the religious tax, and have firm belief in the life to come. 4 Such have guidance from their Lord. Such are the successful. 5 And some people buy words of play, in order to mislead from Allah’s path, without knowledge; and to make it an article of mockery; for them is a disgraceful punishment. 6 When Our revelations are recited to them, they turn back on their heels out of pride as if they did not hear them or their ears had been sealed off. Warn them of the painful torment. 7 The righteously striving believers will enter Paradise 8 Wherein they abide eternally; [it is] the promise of Allah [which is] truth. And He is the Exalted in Might, the Wise. 9 He has created the heavens without any pillars, that you see and has set on the earth firm mountains, lest it should shake with you. And He has scattered therein moving (living) creatures of all kinds. And We send down water (rain) from the sky, and We cause (plants) of every goodly kind to grow therein. 10 This is Allah's creation, but show Me what those besides Him have created. Nay, the unjust are in manifest error 11
