Prostration (Al-Sajdah)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
Alif. Lam. Mim. 1 There is no doubt that this Book is revealed by the Lord of the Universe. 2 Or do they say: 'He has forged it himself' Say: 'No, it is the truth from your Lord so that you can warn a nation to whom none has warned before you, in order that they are guided. 3 It is Allah Who created the heavens and the earth, and all what is between them, in six days, then (befitting His Majesty) established Himself over the Throne (of control); leaving Allah, there is neither a friend nor an intercessor for you; so do you not ponder? 4 He arranges [each] matter from the heaven to the earth; then it will ascend to Him in a Day, the extent of which is a thousand years of those which you count. 5 Such is (He) the knower of the unknown and the known, the mighty and the merciful, 6 He Who excelled in the creation of all that He created. He originated the creation of man from clay, 7 Then He made his progeny from an extract of water base. 8 and then He forms him in accordance with what he is meant to be, and breathes into him of His spirit: and [thus, O men,] He endows you with hearing, and sight, and feelings as well as minds: [yet] how seldom are you grateful! 9 But they say: "When we have mingled with the earth, shall we be created anew?" In fact they deny the meeting with their Lord. 10 ۞ Say: 'The Angel of Death, who has been given charge of you will gather you then to your Lord you shall be returned' 11
