Prostration (Al-Sajdah)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Alif Lam Mim. 1 The revelation of the Book, there is no doubt in it, is from the Lord of the worlds. 2 Do they say, "He has invented it himself."? No indeed! It is the truth from your Lord to warn a people to whom, before you, no warner came, so that hopefully they may be rightly guided. 3 Allah it is He Who has created the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them in six Days. Then He Istawa (rose over) the Throne (in a manner that suits His Majesty). You (mankind) have none, besides Him, as a Wali (protector or helper etc.) or an intercessor. Will you not then remember (or be admonished)? 4 He directs the affair from heaven to earth, then it goes up to Him in one day, whose measure is a thousand years of your counting. 5 This is the Knower of the unseen and the seen, the Mighty the Merciful, 6 Who perfected everything which He created and began the creation of man from clay. 7 then He made his progeny from an extract of a humble fluid. 8 Then He made him complete and breathed into him of His spirit, and made for you the ears and the eyes and the hearts; little is it that you give thanks. 9 And they say: When we are lost in the earth, how can we then be re-created? Nay but they are disbelievers in the meeting with their Lord. 10 ۞ Tell them: “The angel of death who has been charged with your souls shall gather you, and then you shall be brought back to your Lord.” 11
