Prostration (Al-Sajdah)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Alif. Lam. Mim 1 (This is) the Revelation of the Book in which there is no doubt,- from the Lord of the Worlds. 2 and yet, they [who are bent on denying the truth] assert, "[Muhammad] has invented it!" Nay, but it is the truth from thy Sustainer, enabling thee to warn [this] people to whom no warner has come before thee, so that they might follow the right path. 3 It is Allah Who created the heavens and the earth, and all what is between them, in six days, then (befitting His Majesty) established Himself over the Throne (of control); leaving Allah, there is neither a friend nor an intercessor for you; so do you not ponder? 4 He disposeth every affair from the heaven unto the earth; thereafter it shall ascend unto Him in a Day the measure whereof is one thousand years of that which ye compute. 5 This is the Knower of the unseen and the seen, the Mighty the Merciful, 6 Who made all things He created excellent; and first fashioned man from clay, 7 Then kept his posterity with a part of an abject fluid. 8 then He gave it proper shape and blew His spirit in it. He made ears, eyes and hearts for you, but you give Him very little thanks. 9 And they say: when we are vanished in the earth, shall we then be raised in a new creation? Aye! in the meeting with their Lord they are disbelieving. 10 ۞ Proclaim, “The angel of death, who is appointed over you, causes you to die and then towards your Lord you will return.” 11
