Prostration (Al-Sajdah)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
ALIF LAM MIM. 1 The revelation of the Scripture whereof there is no doubt is from the Lord of the Worlds. 2 Do they say that he, (Muhammad), has invented it? No, it is the truth from your Lord so that you will warn the people who have not received a warning before you. Perhaps they will seek guidance. 3 Allah is He Who created the heavens and the earth and what is between them in six periods, and He mounted the throne (of authority); you have not besides Him any guardian or any intercessor, will you not then mind? 4 He governs all that exists, from the celestial space to the earth; and in the end all shall ascend unto Him [for judgment] on a Day the length whereof will be [like] a thousand years of your reckoning. 5 Such is the Knower of the Invisible and the Visible, the Mighty, the Merciful, 6 who perfected everything He created. He originated the creation of the human from clay, 7 Then He made his offspring from semen of worthless water (male and female sexual discharge). 8 Then He proportioned him and breathed into him from His [created] soul and made for you hearing and vision and hearts; little are you grateful. 9 They say, 'What, when we have gone astray in the earth, shall we indeed be in a new creation?' Nay, but they disbelieve in the encounter with their Lord. 10 ۞ Say: "The angel of death, who is set over you, will take your souls, then you shall be brought to your Lord." 11
