O Prophet! say to your wives: If you desire this world's life and its adornment, then come, I will give you a provision and allow you to depart a goodly departing 28 But if you desire Allah and His Messenger, and the home of the Hereafter, then verily, Allah has prepared for AlMuhsinat (gooddoers) amongst you an enormous reward. 29 Wives of the Prophet, if anyone among you commits indecency, her torment will be double. This is not at all difficult for God. 30 ۞ But those of you who obey God and His Messenger and do good deeds, shall be doubly rewarded. For them We have made an excellent provision. 31 Wives of the Prophet, you are not like other women. If you fear Allah, do not be too complaisant in your speech lest those with diseased hearts should covet you; but speak in a straight forward manner. 32 And abide quietly in your homes, and do not flaunt your charms as they used to flaunt them in the old days of pagan ignorance; and be constant in prayer, and render the purifying dues, and pay heed unto God and His Apostle: for God only wants to remove from you all that might be loathsome, O you members of the [Prophet's] household, and to purify you to utmost purity. 33 Remember God's revelations and the wisdom that are recited in your homes. God is indeed all perceiving, well-informed. 34
