O you who believe! Remember Allah with much remembrance. 41 And sing His praises morning and evening. 42 It is He who has mercy on you, and His angels to bring you out from the darkness into light. He is the Most Merciful to the believers. 43 Their greeting on the day they meet Him will be: "Peace;" and He has a generous reward ready for them. 44 [And as for thee,] O Prophet - behold, We have sent thee as a witness [to the truth,] and as a herald of glad tidings and a warner, 45 And as a summoner unto Allah by His permission, and as a lamp that giveth light. 46 And give glad tidings to the believers that for them is Allah’s extreme munificence. 47 And obey not the unbelievers and the hypocrites; heed not their hurt, but put thy trust in God; God suffices as a guardian. 48 O you who believe, when you marry believing women then divorce them before having (sexual) contact with them, you have no right to demand observance of the 'waiting period' of them. But provide suitably for them, and let them go with honour. 49 O Prophet (Muhammad SAW)! Verily, We have made lawful to you your wives, to whom you have paid their Mahr (bridal money given by the husband to his wife at the time of marriage), and those (captives or slaves) whom your right hand possesses - whom Allah has given to you, and the daughters of your 'Amm (paternal uncles) and the daughters of your 'Ammah (paternal aunts) and the daughters of your Khal (maternal uncles) and the daughters of your Khalah (maternal aunts) who migrated (from Makkah) with you, and a believing woman if she offers herself to the Prophet, and the Prophet wishes to marry her; a privilege for you only, not for the (rest of) the believers. Indeed We know what We have enjoined upon them about their wives and those (captives or slaves) whom their right hands possess, - in order that there should be no difficulty on you. And Allah is Ever OftForgiving, Most Merciful. 50 ۞ You may defer [the turn of] any of them that you please, and you may receive any you please: and there is no blame on you if you invite one whose [turn] you have set aside. That is more proper, so that their eyes may be cooled, and so that they may not grieve, and so that they will be satisfied with what you have given them. God knows what is in your hearts; and God is all knowing, and forbearing. 51 Women are not allowed unto thee henceforth, nor mayest thou change them for other wives although their beauty please thee, save those whom thy right hand shall own; and Allah is ever over everything a Watcher. 52
