Say, [O Muhammad], "Invoke those you claim [as deities] besides Allah." They do not possess an atom's weight [of ability] in the heavens or on the earth, and they do not have therein any partnership [with Him], nor is there for Him from among them any assistant. 22 lntercession with Him profiteth not save the intercession of him whom He giveth leave. They hold their peace until when fright is taken off from their hearts, they say: What is it that your Lord hath said? They say: the very truth. And He is the Exalted, the Great. 23 ۞ Say: "Who is it that provides for you sustenance out of the heavens and the earth?" Say: "It is God. And behold, either we [who believe in Him] or you [who deny His oneness] are on the right path, or have clearly gone astray!" 24 Say thou: ye will not be questioned about that which we have committed, nor shall we be questioned about that which ye work. 25 Say: "Our Lord will gather us together and judge between us equitably, for He is the Judge all-knowing." 26 Say: “Show me those whom you have attached to Him as His associates (in Divinity).” Nay, Allah alone is Most Mighty, Most Wise. 27 We have sent you only as a bearer of good tidings and admonisher for all mankind; yet most people do not understand. 28 And they say: when is this promise to be fulfilled if ye say sooth? 29 Proclaim “For you is the promise of a Day which you cannot postpone by one moment nor can you advance it.” 30
