۞ Say: I exhort you only to one thing, that rise up for Allah's sake in twos and singly, then ponder: there is no madness in your fellow-citizen; he is only a warner to you before a severe chastisement. 46 Say: Whatever reward I have asked of you, that is only for yourselves; my reward is only with Allah, and He is a witness of all things. 47 Say thou: verily my Lord hurleth the truth: the Knower of things hidden. 48 Proclaim, “The truth has come, and falsehood dare not commence nor return.” 49 Proclaim, “If I stray, I stray only for my own harm; and if I attain guidance, it is because of what my Lord has sent down to me; indeed He is All Hearing, Close.” 50 Couldst thou but see when they are terrified with no escape, and are seized from near at hand, 51 and say: 'We believe in it' But how can they reach from a place that is distant, 52 Whereas they disbelieved therein afore, and conjectured about the unseen from a place so afar. 53 And a gulf is set between them and that which they desire, as was done for people of their kind of old. Lo! they were in hopeless doubt. 54
