۞ Say: "I counsel you one thing only: Be [ever conscious of] standing before God, whether you are in the company of others or alone; and then bethink yourselves [that] there is no madness in [this prophet,] your fellow-man: he is only a warner to you of suffering severe to come." 46 Say, "Whatever payment I might have asked of you - it is yours. My payment is only from Allah, and He is, over all things, Witness." 47 Say (O Muhammad SAW): "Verily! My Lord sends down Inspiration and makes apparent the truth (i.e. this Revelation that had come to me), the AllKnower of the Ghaib (unseen). 48 Say, "The truth has come, and falsehood can neither begin [anything] nor repeat [it]." 49 Say: If I err, I err only against my own soul, and if I follow a right direction, it is because of what my Lord reveals to me; surely He is Hearing, Nigh. 50 And could you see when they shall become terrified, but (then) there shall be no escape and they shall be seized upon from a near place 51 And then they will say: we believe therein. But whence can there be the attainment of faith from a place so afar. 52 seeing that aforetime they had been bent on denying the truth, and had been wont to cast scorn, from far away, on something that was beyond the reach of human perception! 53 And a barrier is set between them and what they desire*, as was done for their earlier groups; indeed they are in a doubt that deceives.
