۞ O men, it is you who stand in need of God. As for God, He is above all need, worthy of praise. 15 If He will, He can be rid of you and bring (instead of you) some new creation. 16 this is not a great matter for Allah. 17 No burden-bearer shall bear another's burden, and if some over-laden soul should call out for someone else to carry his load, not the least portion of it will be borne for him, even though he were a near relative. You can only warn those who fear their Lord in the unseen, and pray regularly. Anyone who purifies himself will benefit greatly from doing so. To God all shall return. 18 Not alike are the blind and the seeing. 19 the shadows and the light, 20 Nor is the shadow equal with the sun's full heat; 21 Nor are the living equal with the dead. Lo! Allah maketh whom He will to hear. Thou canst not reach those who are in the graves. 22 Thou art no other than a warner. 23 We have sent you with the truth, a bearer of glad tidings and warning, for there is no nation, that has not had a warner pass away in it. 24 If they reject you, so did their predecessors. Messengers came to them with clear signs, with scriptures, and with the enlightening Book, 25 Then I took hold of those who disbelieved. So how terrible was My disapproval! 26
