Y S (Yaa Seen)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Ya Sin 1 and the Quran, the Book of wisdom, 2 That you are indeed one of those sent 3 On a Straight Path (i.e. on Allah's religion of Islamic Monotheism). 4 A revelation from the mighty, ever-merciful (God), 5 so that you may warn a people whose ancestors were not warned before wherefore they are heedless. 6 The Word is proved true against the greater part of them: for they do not believe. 7 Verily We have placed on their necks shackles which are up to the chins; so that their heads are forced up. 8 and We have set a barrier before them and a barrier behind them, and We have covered them up so that they cannot see. 9 Whether thou warn them or thou warn them not, it is alike for them, for they believe not. 10 Thou only warnest him who follows the Remembrance and who fears the All-merciful in the Unseen; so give him the good tidings of forgiveness and a generous wage. 11 Surely We give life to the dead, and We write down what they have sent before and their footprints, and We have recorded everything in a clear writing. 12
