Y S (Yaa Seen)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
Ya'. Sin. 1 I call to witness the Qur'an, custodian of all laws, -- 2 Most surely you are one of the apostles 3 on a straight path; 4 (The Qur’an is) Sent down by the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 5 That thou mayest warn a people whose fathers were not warned; so they are negligent. 6 Undoubtedly, it (their disbelief) has proved true for most of them, so they will not believe. 7 Lo! We have put on their necks carcans reaching unto the chins, so that they are made stiff-necked. 8 And We have put before them a barrier and behind them a barrier and covered them, so they do not see. 9 It makes no difference to them whether you warn them or do not warn them: they will not believe. 10 Thou canst but admonish such a one as follows the Message and fears the (Lord) Most Gracious, unseen: give such a one, therefore, good tidings, of Forgiveness and a Reward most generous. 11 Verily, We give life to the dead, and We record that which they send before (them), and their traces [their footsteps and walking on the earth with their legs to the mosques for the five compulsory congregational prayers, Jihad (holy fighting in Allah's Cause) and all other good and evil they did, and that which they leave behind], and all things We have recorded with numbers (as a record) in a Clear Book. 12
