Ya Sin 1 By oath of the wise Qur’an. 2 Indeed you, [O Muhammad], are from among the messengers, 3 pursuing a straight way 4 This is a revelation of the Mighty, the Merciful. 5 In order that you may warn a people whose forefathers were not warned, so they are heedless. 6 The Word has been realised against most of them, yet they do not believe. 7 We have bound their necks with fetters up to their chin, so that their heads are raised and cannot be lowered. 8 and We have set a barrier before them and a barrier behind them, and We have enshrouded them in veils so that they cannot see: 9 And it is alike unto them, whether thou warnest them or warnest them not; they shall not believe. 10 You can only warn him who follows the Reminder (the Quran), and fears the Most Beneficent (Allah) unseen. Bear you to such one the glad tidings of forgiveness, and a generous reward (i.e. Paradise). 11 We will surely bring the dead to life and We record what they send ahead and the signs they will leave behind; and We have accounted all things in a clear Book. 12
