Y S (Yaa Seen)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
O THOU human being! 1 I swear by the Quran full of wisdom 2 thou art truly among the Envoys 3 on a straight path, 4 This is a revelation of the Mighty, the Merciful. 5 That you may warn a people whose forefathers were not warned, so they are unaware. 6 Already the word has come into effect upon most of them, so they do not believe. 7 Surely We have put on their necks fetters up to the chin, so their heads are raised; 8 We have set a barrier before them and a barrier behind them, and, We have covered them so that they do not see. 9 And it is all the same for them whether you warn them or do not warn them - they will not believe. 10 You can only warn him who follows the Reminder (the Quran), and fears the Most Beneficent (Allah) unseen. Bear you to such one the glad tidings of forgiveness, and a generous reward (i.e. Paradise). 11 Verily, We shall indeed bring the dead back to life; and We shall record whatever [deeds] they have sent ahead, and the traces [of good and evil] which they have left behind: for of all things do We take account in a record clear. 12
