Y S (Yaa Seen)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
Ya Sin. 1 By the wise Qur'an, 2 you (Prophet Muhammad) are truly among the Messengers sent 3 on a straight path, 4 A revelation of the Mighty, the Merciful, 5 that thou mayest warn a people whose fathers were never warned, so they are heedless. 6 Indeed, the word [of God's condemnation] is bound to come true against most of them: for they will not believe. 7 Behold, around their necks We have put shackles, reaching up to their chins, so that their heads are forced up; 8 and We have put a barrier before them and a barrier behind them, and have covered them up, so they are unable to see. 9 It is the same to them whether you warn them or you warn them not, they will not believe. 10 You should only warn those who follow the Quran and have fear of the Beneficent God without seeing Him. Give them the glad news of their receiving forgiveness and an honorable reward (from God). 11 Verily We! We shall quicken the dead. And We write down that which they send before and their footsteps. And everything We have counted up in a Book luminous. 12
