Evidence (of the truth) for them is how We revived the dead earth 33 And We produce therein orchard with date-palms and vines, and We cause springs to gush forth therein: 34 so that they may eat its fruit, though it was not their hands that made this. Will they not then be grateful? 35 Hallowed be He who hath created all the pairs of that which the earth groweth, and of themselves and of that which they know not! 36 And a sign for them is the night, We withdraw therefrom the day, and behold, they are in darkness. 37 And the sun -- it runs to a fixed resting-place; that is the ordaining of the All-mighty, the All-knowing. 38 And the moon -- We have determined it by stations, till it returns like an aged palm-bough. 39 It is not permitted to the sun that it should overtake the moon, nor can the night outstrip the day: each in an orbit, they float. 40 And a sign for them is that We lodged them in a laden ship, while they were in their forefathers backs. 41 And We have created for them similar ships, in which they now ride. 42 And if We will, We drown them, and there is no help for them, neither can they be saved; 43 Unless by mercy from Us, and as a comfort for a while. 44 When it is said to such people: “Guard yourselves against what is ahead of you and what has preceded you that mercy be shown to you” (they pay scant heed to it). 45 Yet there never comes to them any sign of their Lord's signs, but they turn away from it. 46 When they are told: "Spend of what God has given you," the unbelievers say to those who believe: "Why should we feed those whom God should have fed if He pleased?" You are only in palpable error. 47 And they say: "When will this promise come to pass, if what you say is true?" 48 They await not but one shout, which shall lay hold of them while they are yet wrangling. 49 And they will not be able to make a disposition, nor to their family they return. 50
