The dead land is a sign for them. We revive it, and from it produce grain from which they eat. 33 We have placed in it gardens of date palms and vines, and caused springs to gush [forth] from it, 34 So that they may eat from its fruits, whereas they are not manufactured by their hands! So will they not be grateful? 35 Holy is He who created all things in pairs; of what the earth grows, and of themselves, and other things which they do not know. 36 And a sign for them is the night; We strip it of the day and lo, they are in darkness. 37 And the sun runs on its fixed course for a term (appointed). That is the Decree of the All-Mighty, the All-Knowing. 38 We have ordained phases for the moon until finally it becomes like an old date-stalk. 39 It is not for the sun to overtake the moon, nor does the night outstrip the day. They all float, each in an orbit. 40 And a sign for them is that We carried their offspring in the laden Ark (of Noah). 41 and [that] We create for them things of a similar kind, on which they may embark [in their travels]; 42 We drown them if We will, then they have none to cry to, nor can they be saved, 43 Unless by mercy from Us, and as a comfort for a while. 44 And when it is said to them: "Beware of that which is before you (worldly torments), and that which is behind you (torments in the Hereafter), in order that you may receive Mercy (i.e. if you believe in Allah's Religion Islamic Monotheism, and avoid polytheism, and obey Allah with righteous deeds). 45 And no sign comes to them from the signs of their Lord except that they are from it turning away. 46 And when it is said to them: "Spend of that with which Allah has provided you," those who disbelieve say to those who believe: "Shall we feed those whom, if Allah willed, He (Himself) would have fed? You are only in a plain error." 47 And they say: when will this promise be fulfilled if ye say sooth? 48 They will not (have to) wait for aught but a single Blast: it will seize them while they are yet disputing among themselves! 49 Then they would not be able to make a will, or go back to their people. 50
