And a sign to them is the dead earth: We give life to it and bring forth from it grain so they eat of it. 33 and We made therein gardens of palms and vines, and therein We caused fountains to gush forth, 34 That they may eat of the fruit thereof, and their hands did not make it; will they not then be grateful? 35 Holy is He Who created all things in pairs, whether it be of what the earth produces, and of themselves, and of what they do not know. 36 And a sign for them is the night, We withdraw therefrom the day, and behold, they are in darkness. 37 And the sun runs on its fixed course for a term (appointed). That is the Decree of the All-Mighty, the All-Knowing. 38 We have determined the stations of the moon, so that (after its wanderings) it returns as a dried up inflorescent spike of dates. 39 It is not for the sun to overtake the moon, nor does the night outstrip the day. They all float, each in an orbit. 40 Another Sign for them is that We carried all their offspring in the laden vessel 41 And We have created for them similar (vessels) on which they ride. 42 We drown them if We will, then they have none to cry to, nor can they be saved, 43 except Our mercy which could enable them to enjoy themselves for an appointed time. 44 And when it is said to them: Guard against what is before you and what is behind you, that mercy may be had on you. 45 Never came a token of the tokens of their Lord to them, but they did turn away from it! 46 And when it is said to them, 'Expend of that God has provided you,' the unbelievers say to the believers, 'What, shall we feed such a one whom, if God willed, He would feed? You are only in manifest error!' 47 And they add, "When is this promise [of resurrection] to be fulfilled? [Answer this] if you are men of truth!" 48 They await but one Shout, which will surprise them while they are disputing. 49 Then they cannot make bequest, nor can they return to their own folk. 50
