And a sign unto them is the dead land. We quicken it and thereout We bring forth grain, so that thereof they eat. 33 and We made therein gardens of palms and vines, and therein We caused fountains to gush forth, 34 So that they may eat of its fruit; yet it was not done by their hands. Then why do they not acknowledge thanks? 35 Exalted is He who created all pairs - from what the earth grows and from themselves and from that which they do not know. 36 They have a sign in the night: We withdraw from it the [light of] day -- and they are left in darkness. 37 And the sun runs its course for its final destination; this is a command of the Almighty, the All Knowing. 38 And We have appointed positions for the moon till it returns like an old branch of the date palm. 39 Neither is it allowable to the sun that it should overtake the moon, nor can the night outstrip the day; and all float on in a sphere. 40 And a sign for them is that We carried their offspring in the laden Ark (of Noah). 41 And We have created for them of the like thereunto, so on them they ride. 42 And if We please, We can drown them, then there shall be no succorer for them, nor shall they be rescued 43 But (by) mercy from Us and for enjoyment till a time. 44 Whenever they are told to guard themselves against sin and the forth coming torment so that perhaps they could receive mercy 45 yet never any sign of the signs of their Lord comes to them, but they are turning away from it. 46 And when they are told, "Spend ye of (the bounties) with which Allah has provided you," the Unbelievers say to those who believe: "Shall we then feed those whom, if Allah had so willed, He would have fed, (Himself)? Ye are in nothing but manifest error." 47 They say, "When will this promise be fulfilled, if you are truthful?" 48 They await but one Shout, which will surprise them while they are disputing. 49 Therefore neither able to make a will, nor returning to their homes. 50
