The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By those [angels] who range themselves in close ranks 1 by those who drive away the devil (to protect Our revelation), 2 and by the reciters of the Reminder: 3 Verily, most surely, your God is One 4 the Lord of the heavens and the earth and of all that is between them; the Lord of the Easts. 5 He decked the nearest heavens with ornaments of stars, 6 a protection against every rebel satan; 7 They cannot listen to the speech of those on higher elevations and they are targeted from every side. 8 and driven away to suffer the necessary torment. 9 Except him who snatcheth away a word by stealth, and him then pursueth a glowing flame. 10 Just ask their opinion: are they the more difficult to create, or the (other) beings We have created? Them have We created out of a sticky clay! 11 Nay, but thou dost marvel when they mock 12 And when they are reminded, they mind not, 13 And when they see a sign they incite one another to scoff, 14 And they say, “This is nothing but clear magic.” 15 When we have become dead and have become dust and bones, shall we then verily be raised? 16 And our forefathers? 17 Say, "Yes indeed, and you will be brought low." 18 There is but one Shout, and lo! they behold, 19 and they will say: 'Woe for us. This is the Day of Recompense' 20 (It will be said): "This is the Day of Judgement which you used to deny." 21
