The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)

In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
CONSIDER these [messages] ranged in serried ranks, 1 by those who drive away the devil (to protect Our revelation), 2 And those who recite the Reminder, 3 Verily, verily, your Allah is one!- 4 Lord of the heavens and of the earth and all that is between them, and Lord of the sun's risings. 5 Behold, We have adorned the skies nearest to the earth with the beauty of stars, 6 and have protected it from every rebellious satan. 7 So that they are not able to listen to the angels of higher (echelons), and are pelted from all sides 8 and are repelled. Theirs is an unceasing chastisement. 9 And if any is able to snatch a fragment, he is pursued by a piercing flame. 10 So ask them if they are more difficult to create, or the rest We have created? Indeed (man) We created from fermented clay. 11 Nay! you wonder while they mock, 12 And they do not understand, when explained to. 13 and if they see any Sign, they laugh it away 14 And they say: This is nothing but clear magic: 15 Is it ever possible that after we die and are reduced to dust and (a skeleton of) bones, we will be raised to life? 16 and perhaps also our forebears of old?" 17 Say thou: "Yea, and ye shall then be humiliated (on account of your evil)." 18 There will be but a single blast and then their eyes will open. 19 And will say, “O our misfortune!” It will be said to them, “This is the Day of Justice.” 20 [And they will be told:] "This is the Day of Distinction [between the true and the false - the Day] which you were wont to call a lie!" 21

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
