The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By those who range themselves in rows; 1 Then those who drive away with reproof, 2 and the reciters of a Remembrance, 3 surely your God is One, 4 He is the Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, the Lord of the Eastern regions. 5 Verily We! We have adorned the nearest heaven with an adornment: the stars. 6 and guarded it against all rebellious devils: 7 So that they are not able to listen to the angels of higher (echelons), and are pelted from all sides 8 They are rejected and theirs is an everlasting punishment; 9 Except such as snatch away something by stealth, and they are pursued by a flaming fire, of piercing brightness. 10 Ask them thou: are they stronger in structure or those others whom We have created? Verily We! We have created them of a sticky clay. 11 Aye! thou marvellest, and they scoff. 12 And when they are reminded, they remember not. 13 And whenever they see a sign, they mock at it. 14 And they say: "This is nothing but evident magic! 15 Is it ever possible that after we die and are reduced to dust and (a skeleton of) bones, we will be raised to life? 16 What, and our forefathers, the ancients' 17 Say, "You will certainly be brought back to life in disgrace". 18 So it shall only be a single cry, when lo! they shall see. 19 They will say, "O woe to us! This is the Day of Recompense." 20 [It will be said], "This is the Day of Judgement which you have been denying." 21
