The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
I swear by those who draw themselves out in ranks 1 by those who reprove severely, 2 And by oath of the groups that read the Qur’an. 3 that your Lord is the only Lord. 4 Lord of the heavens and of the earth, and all that is between them, and Lord of every point of the sun's risings. (None has the right to be worshipped but Allah). 5 We have indeed adorned the lowest heaven with stars as ornaments. 6 With security from every froward devil. 7 [So] they may not listen to the exalted assembly [of angels] and are pelted from every side, 8 With a driving fusillade, and theirs shall be a torment perpetual; 9 Except such as snatch away something by stealth, and they are pursued by a flaming fire, of piercing brightness. 10 (Muhammad), ask them, "Have they (people) been created stronger than what We have created?" We have created them from moist clay. 11 No wonder you are surprised as they laugh with scorn. 12 and when they are reminded [of the truth,] they refuse to take it to heart; 13 And when they see a sign they incite one another to scoff, 14 And say, "This is nothing but evident sorcery! 15 What! when we are dead and have become dust and bones, shall we then certainly be raised, 16 "And also our fathers of old?" 17 Say, "You will certainly be brought back to life in disgrace". 18 There will be a single stern rebuff and lo, they will be observing with their own eyes (all that they had been warned against). 19 They will say, "Woe to us! This is the Day of Reckoning." 20 This is the Day of Judgment in which you disbelieved. 21
