The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the rangers ranging 1 And those who drive away (the wicked) with reproof 2 And those who read (the Word) for a reminder, 3 Lo! thy Lord is surely One; 4 Lord of the heavens and of the earth and all that is between them, and Lord of the sun's risings. 5 We have adorned the lower heaven with the adornment of the stars 6 And as protection against every rebellious devil 7 So that they are not able to listen to the angels of higher (echelons), and are pelted from all sides 8 With a driving fusillade, and theirs shall be a torment perpetual; 9 except such as snatches a fragment, and he is pursued by a piercing flame. 10 Then ask them (O Muhammad): Are they stronger as a creation, or those (others) whom we have created? Lo! We created them of plastic clay. 11 No, you marvel, while they scoff. 12 And when they are reminded, they pay no attention. 13 When they see a sign, they laugh at it, 14 And they say: this Qur'an is naught but magic manifest. 15 What, when we are dead and become dust and bones, shall we indeed be raised up? 16 “And also our forefathers?” 17 Say: Aye! and you shall be abject. 18 There will be but a single blast and then their eyes will open. 19 They will say, "Woe to us!" (They will be told), "This is the day of receiving recompense". 20 This is the day of the judgment which you called a lie. 21
