The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By those [angels] who range themselves in close ranks 1 By those (angels) who drive the clouds in a good way. 2 And those who recite the message, 3 Lo! thy Lord is surely One; 4 Lord of the heavens and the earth and everything between them; Lord of the Easts. 5 We have adorned the lower heaven with the adornment of the stars 6 and have made them secure against every rebellious, satanic force, 7 they cannot overhear the Higher Assembly for they are pelted from every side, 8 cast out [from all grace,] with lasting suffering in store for them [in the life to come]; 9 Save him who snatcheth a fragment, and there pursueth him a piercing flame. 10 AND NOW ask those [who deny the truth] to enlighten thee: Were they more difficult to create than all those [untold marvels] that We have created? - for, behold, them have We created out of [mere] clay commingled with water! 11 Aye! thou marvellest, and they scoff. 12 They pay no attention when they are reminded 13 and when they see a miracle, they mock 14 And say, "This is nothing but evident sorcery! 15 Is it ever possible that after we die and are reduced to dust and (a skeleton of) bones, we will be raised to life? 16 Or our fathers of yore? 17 Say, "Yes indeed, and you will be brought low." 18 Then it will be a single (compelling) cry; and behold, they will begin to see! 19 and will say: "Oh, woe unto us! This is the Day of Judgment!" 20 This is the Day of Judgment which ye were wont to belie. 21
