The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By those [angels] who range themselves in close ranks 1 And those who drive away (the wicked) with reproof 2 And by oath of the groups that read the Qur’an. 3 Indeed, your God is One, 4 He is the Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, the Lord of the Eastern regions. 5 We have adorned the lower heaven with the adornment of the planets, 6 And to guard against every rebellious devil. 7 So that they are not able to listen to the angels of higher (echelons), and are pelted from all sides 8 Being driven off, and for them is a perpetual chastisement, 9 Except such as snatch away something by stealth, and they are pursued by a flaming fire, of piercing brightness. 10 Then ask them whether they are stronger in creation or those (others) whom We have created. Surely We created them of firm clay. 11 You marvel (at the wondrous creations of Allah) and they scoff at it, 12 And when they are reminded, they remember not. 13 and if they see any Sign, they laugh it away 14 and say: 'This is nothing but clear sorcery' 15 "What! When we have died and become dust and bones, will we be brought back to life again, 16 And so also shall our forefathers of yore be raised to life?” 17 You say: "Yes; and you will be lowly made." 18 So that is just a single jolt, thereupon they will begin staring. 19 and they say, 'Woe, alas for us! This is the Day of Doom.' 20 “Yes, this is the Day of Final Decision that you used to deny as a lie.” 21
