The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
I swear by (the angels) who stand in ranks, 1 by those who reprove severely, 2 And by oath of the groups that read the Qur’an. 3 surely your God is One, 4 Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them – and the Lord of the sun’s rising points. 5 We have adorned the lowest heaven with the beauty of the planets; 6 And (there is) a safeguard against every rebellious Shaitan. 7 They cannot listen to the higher group (angels) for they are pelted from every side. 8 cast out [from all grace,] with lasting suffering in store for them [in the life to come]; 9 Some of them who stealthily steal words from the heavens are pursued by a glistening flame. 10 Just ask their opinion: are they the more difficult to create, or the (other) beings We have created? Them have We created out of a sticky clay! 11 Nay, you (O Muhammad SAW) wondered (at their insolence) while they mock (at you and at the Quran). 12 When they are reminded, they do not pay heed, 13 When they are shown a sign, they scoff at it 14 And they say: Lo! this is mere magic; 15 What, when we are dead and become dust and bones, shall we indeed be raised up? 16 And our forefathers? 17 You say: "Yes; and you will be lowly made." 18 It will be a single Zajrah [shout (i.e. the second blowing of the Trumpet)], and behold, they will be staring! 19 They will say, "Ah! Woe to us! This is the Day of Judgment!" 20 'This is the Day of Decision, even that you cried lies to. 21
