The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By those (angels) ranged in ranks (or rows). 1 and those who drive away [the wicked] with reproof 2 and by the reciters of the Reminder: 3 surely your God is One, 4 Lord of the heavens and the earth and everything between them; Lord of the Easts. 5 Verily! We have adorned the near heaven with the stars (for beauty). 6 And to protect it from every rebellious devil. 7 So that they are not able to listen to the angels of higher (echelons), and are pelted from all sides 8 cast out [from all grace,] with lasting suffering in store for them [in the life to come]; 9 Except those who eavesdrop and are pursued by a shooting flame. 10 So ask them for a pronouncement -- Are they stronger in constitution, or those We created? We created them of clinging clay. 11 Nay, but thou dost marvel when they mock 12 They pay no attention when they are reminded 13 And, when they see a Sign, turn it to mockery, 14 And they say, “This is nothing but clear magic.” 15 What, when we are dead and become dust and bones, shall we indeed be raised up? 16 and perhaps also our forebears of old?" 17 Proclaim, “Yes, and with disgrace.” 18 There will be but a single blast and then their eyes will open. 19 They will say, "Ah! Woe to us! This is the Day of Judgment!" 20 This is the Day of Separation, which ye used to deny. 21
