The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By those [angels] lined up in rows 1 And so are strong in repelling (evil), 2 and by the reciters of the Reminder: 3 Verily, most surely, your God is One 4 The Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them, and the Lord of the Easts. 5 We have indeed adorned the lowest heaven with stars as ornaments. 6 and guarded it against all rebellious devils: 7 They cannot listen to the speech of those on higher elevations and they are targeted from every side. 8 Repelled; and for them is a constant punishment, 9 And if any is able to snatch a fragment, he is pursued by a piercing flame. 10 So ask them, are they stronger in constitution, or those whom We have created. We have created them of sticky clay. 11 Nay, but whereas thou dost marvel, they [only] scoff; 12 and, when reminded, do not remember 13 and when they become aware of a [divine] message, they turn it to ridicule 14 And say, "This is not but obvious magic. 15 Is it ever possible that after we die and are reduced to dust and (a skeleton of) bones, we will be raised to life? 16 "And also our fathers of old?" 17 Say, "You will certainly be brought back to life in disgrace". 18 For it is only a single scaring, then behold, they are watching 19 They will say, "Ah! Woe to us! This is the Day of Judgment!" 20 (A voice will say,) "This is the Day of Sorting Out, whose truth ye (once) denied!" 21
