The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
182 verses, revealed in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
CONSIDER these [messages] ranged in serried ranks, 1 And those who drive [the clouds] 2 By those (angels) who bring the Book and the Quran from Allah to mankind [Tafsir Ibn Kathir]. 3 Verily your Ilah (God) is indeed One (i.e. Allah); 4 Lord of the heavens and the earth, and of what between them is Lord of the Easts. 5 We have adorned the lower heaven with the adornment of the stars 6 and guarded it against all rebellious devils: 7 They cannot listen to the exalted assembly, and they are darted at from every side. 8 Outcast, and theirs is a perpetual torment; 9 Except him who snatches off but once, then there follows him a brightly shining flame. 10 Just ask their opinion: are they the more difficult to create, or the (other) beings We have created? Them have We created out of a sticky clay! 11 Nay, but thou dost marvel when they mock 12 And when they are reminded, they mind not, 13 And when they behold a sign, they turn to scoffing. 14 And say, "This is not but obvious magic. 15 "What! when we die, and become dust and bones, shall we (then) be raised up (again) 16 And our forefathers? 17 Say (O Muhammad SAW): "Yes, and you shall then be humiliated." 18 It will be but one Shout, then see, they are watching 19 And say: Ah, woe for us! This is the Day of Judgment. 20 This is the Day of Decision which you belied. 21

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
