The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By those [angels] who range themselves in close ranks 1 And by oath of those who herd with a stern warning. 2 And by oath of the groups that read the Qur’an. 3 surely your God is One, 4 the Lord of the heavens and the earth and of whatever lies between the two, the Lord of the Easts. 5 Indeed, We have adorned the nearest heaven with an adornment of stars 6 And to protect it from every rebellious devil. 7 They cannot listen to the exalted assembly and they are thrown at from every side, 8 and driven away to suffer the necessary torment. 9 And if any is able to snatch a fragment, he is pursued by a piercing flame. 10 So, ask those who deny the truth if it was harder to create them than all the other things We have created? We created them from sticky clay. 11 But you wonder, while they mock, 12 And heed not when they are reminded, 13 And when they see a sign, they ridicule 14 And they say: This is nothing but clear magic: 15 Is it ever possible that after we die and are reduced to dust and (a skeleton of) bones, we will be raised to life? 16 Or our fathers of yore? 17 Tell them: “Yes; and you are utterly helpless (against Allah).” 18 There is but one Shout, and lo! they behold, 19 And say: "Ah woe! This is the Day of Reckoning." 20 'This is the Day of Decision, even that you cried lies to. 21
