The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By those who range themselves in rows; 1 By the angels driving away. 2 and conveying [to all the world] a reminder: 3 surely your God is One, 4 Lord of the heavens and the earth, and of what between them is Lord of the Easts. 5 Indeed, We have adorned the nearest heaven with an adornment of stars 6 Protecting them against every wayward devil, 7 they cannot overhear the Higher Assembly for they are pelted from every side, 8 and are repelled. Theirs is an unceasing chastisement. 9 And if any is able to snatch a fragment, he is pursued by a piercing flame. 10 Ask them thou: are they stronger in structure or those others whom We have created? Verily We! We have created them of a sticky clay. 11 No wonder you are surprised as they laugh with scorn. 12 and when they are reminded [of the truth,] they refuse to take it to heart; 13 When they are shown a sign, they scoff at it 14 And they say: this Qur'an is naught but magic manifest. 15 When we are dead and have become dust and bones, shall we then, forsooth, be raised (again)? 16 What, and our fathers, the ancients?' 17 Say, "Yes, and you will be [rendered] contemptible." 18 So that is just a single jolt, thereupon they will begin staring. 19 They will say: "Woe to us! This is the Day of Recompense!" 20 [They will be told], "This is the Day of Judgement which you used to deny." 21

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
