۞ (It will be said to the angels): "Assemble those who did wrong, together with their companions (from the devils) and what they used to worship. 22 Other than God," (the angels will be told), "then show them the way to Hell, 23 And stop them, for they shall be questioned: 24 What aileth you that ye help not one another? 25 Indeed, today they are surrendering themselves completely.” 26 And some of them draw near unto others, mutually questioning. 27 They will say, "You used to come at us from the right." 28 Others will respond, "It was you who did not want to have any faith. 29 we had no power over you; but you yourselves were a rebellious people. 30 So the word of our Lord has come into effect upon us; indeed, we will taste [punishment]. 31 And we led you to deviation; indeed, we were deviators." 32 So, they will become partners in punishment. 33 That is how We deal with sinners. 34 For when it was said to them: 'There is no god except Allah' they were always proud 35 And they said: are we going to abandon our gods on account of a poet distracted? 36 Aye! he hath come with the truth, and he confesseth to the sent ones. 37 (They will be told): “You shall taste the grievous chastisement. 38 And be rewarded but only for what you had done, 39 Except for God's sincere servants; 40 will have their determined sustenance 41 fruits. And they are receivers of generosity 42 In the Gardens of delight (Paradise), 43 Facing each other on Thrones (of Dignity): 44 a goblet from a spring shall be passed round to them 45 White, delicious to those who drink. 46 but not harmful or intoxicating. 47 And with them shall be those who restrain the eyes, having beautiful eyes; 48 As if they were (delicate) eggs closely guarded. 49 And they will approach one another, inquiring of each other. 50 And a speaker from among them will say: verily there was unto me a mate. 51 who would say: "Are you among the believers (of the resurrection)? 52 What, when we are dead and become dust and bones, shall we indeed be requited?" 53 Do you want to see him?' " 54 And he will look and see him in the midst of the Hellfire. 55 He will say, "By God! You almost brought me to ruin! 56 And but for the favour of my lord, I should have been of those brought forward. 57 Is it then that we are not going to die, 58 "Except our first death, and we shall not be punished? (after we have entered Paradise)." 59 Indeed, this is the great attainment. 60 For the like of this then let the workers work. 61 Is that better as a hospitality, or the Tree of Ez-Zakkoum? 62 Which We have reserved as punishment for evil-doers? 63 Verily it is a tree that springeth forth in the bottom of Flaming Fire. 64 its spathes are as the heads of Satans, 65 Truly, they will eat thereof and fill their bellies therewith. 66 Then after it, indeed for them is the drink of boiling hot water. 67 They can only return to hell. 68 Verily, they found their fathers on the wrong path; 69 So they hastily follow their footsteps! 70 And assuredly many of the ancients went astray before them, 71 And indeed We sent among them warners (Messengers); 72 See then the end of those who were warned, 73 But not the chosen servants of Allah. 74
