۞ Muster those who did evil, their wives, and that they were serving, 22 instead of God, and lead them all onto the way to the blazing fire, 23 “And stop them – they are to be questioned.” 24 How is it that you are not helping one another? 25 Indeed, today they are surrendering themselves completely.” 26 They will turn to each other saying, 27 saying: 'You used to come to us from the right hand' 28 The oppressors will say, "Rather, you [yourselves] were not believers, 29 And we had no authority over you, but you were an inordinate people; 30 But now our Sustainer's word has come true against us [as well]: verily, we are bound to taste [the fruit of our sins]. 31 We mislead you and we ourselves had also gone astray." 32 And verily, on that Day they all will share in their common suffering. 33 Certainly, that is how We deal with Al-Mujrimun (polytheists, sinners, criminals, the disobedient to Allah, etc.). 34 for when it was said to them, 'There is no god but God,' they were ever waxing proud, 35 And said: "Should we abandon our gods for the sake of an insane poet?" 36 In fact he has brought the Truth, and testified for the Noble Messengers! 37 Lo! (now) verily ye taste the painful doom - 38 And you will not be recompensed except for what you used to do - 39 Save the servants of Allah, the purified ones. 40 Those! theirs shall be a provision known: 41 fruits -- and they high-honoured 42 in the Gardens of Bliss, 43 sitting face to face upon couches, 44 a cup filled with wine from its springs, will be passed around to them; 45 white, a delight to the drinkers, 46 Neither dulling the senses nor intoxicating, 47 And with them are those who do not set gaze upon men except their husbands, the maidens with gorgeous eyes. 48 As if they were eggs carefully protected. 49 And some of them draw near unto others, mutually questioning. 50 The speaker among them said, “I had a companion.” – 51 'Do you believe in the Day of Judgment? 52 Can we, when we are dead and have become mere dust and bones - can we (then) verily be brought to book? 53 And he will reply: 'Are you looking down (into Hell)' 54 He will look down and see him in hell. 55 He will say to him: -- By Allah, you almost ruined me. 56 If it had not been for the blessing of my Lord, I would also have been taken to Hell." 57 So, are we not going to die, 58 except for our first death, and are we not chastised? 59 Verily this is the supreme achievement! 60 For the like of this, then, let the workers work. 61 Is this not a better reward than the tree of Zaqqum 62 Truly We have made it (as) a trail for the Zalimun (polytheists, disbelievers, wrong-doers, etc.). 63 Indeed, it is a tree issuing from the bottom of the Hellfire, 64 and its fruits are like devils' heads. 65 They will eat and fill their bellies with it, 66 Then most surely they shall have after it to drink of a mixture prepared in boiling water. 67 And afterward, lo! their return is surely unto hell. 68 Verily, they found their fathers on the wrong path; 69 So they (too) made haste to follow in their footsteps! 70 Before them erred most of the ancients, 71 But We sent aforetime, among them, (messengers) to admonish them;- 72 Therefore see what sort of fate befell those who were warned! 73 Save single-minded slaves of Allah. 74
